The experience really did feel all inclusive. When you get off the boat and onto the island you are greeted by your cabana attendant who brings you to your cabana and takes your drink order. You can also ask them to set up a Snorkeling session for you which was also fun! You drink your drinks, play in what feels like a private part of the island. Then eat your lunch which was pretty awesome and then go Snorkeling. By the time you are all finished with that, you pack up and head back to the boat for the ferry back. Such an awesome experience and would do it all again!!

We had a fantastic trip. Our server for the day Francisco was attentive and helpful. He made sure we got the most out of our time on the island by booking us in for snorkelling and informing us of the activities available to us. The food and drink were both great. You couldn’t fault the value for money.

Soooooo.... here's the deal....we booked this about 6 months ahead of time when we booked the bahamas trip. We showed up at 1:15 which was our arrival time...no one knew what was happening, everything said 1:30 except one last minute booking confirmation that said 3:30...so after a LOT of back and forth they figured it out and took us over to Pearl Island. It was a lot of confusion, we were annoyed... HOWEVER, when we got to the island, they told us that the last pick up was at 4....we were very confused as we had booked half a day with lunch and everything...so they brought us over to speak with the owner. Peter was very pleasant and explained to us that there were many changes that had recently happened and therefore some things got mixed up in the works. He was going to try and find another day to book us before we left in 5 days, otherwise he said he would refund our money. We decided the next day that we just would like our money refunded and they took care of it right away no hassle. I cannot speak to the actual experience on the island but I can tell you the owner is true to his word and if I were to visit the bahamas again I would try again for the experience.

We purchased a private cabana on Pearl Island as a private excursion from a cruise ship. In fact, I accidentally purchased two cabanas and when Pearl Island realized it was just the two of us, they immediately credited the second cabana. Excellent customer service. So you don't make the mistake I made, you only need one regular cabana for 1-2 people. That may seem obvious, but not to me! We walked around and if you have a larger group, there are larger cabanas available. The crew to take you out to the island is great! After a 20 minute ride you arrive at Palm Island and for your day. The cabanas look out over the water for a very serene view. As others have mentioned, the walls between the cabanas only go half way (think knee wall) so you may hear other conversations. If you are lounging though, you are on your own! Included with the rental is a 30 min snorkel and we saw plenty of fish! Be sure to ask about when the snorkel will go out and make sure your cabana steward let's know when it's time. Lunch was delicious, generous and brought to the cabana. The drinks on the drink menu are included and if you want something else like a mixed drink, it will cost extra. Unfortunately we had bad weather that day but the staff made the best of the situation. Not their fault and we will absolutely return! Thanks Pearl Island!

This was the best part of our vacation! We met great people, the cabana was totally worth it. Food and drinks were delicious, great views. We loved our excursion!
Amazing Location, Great People (mostly)

We booked a cabana for my husband and myself (it was our wedding anniversary) and we had our 18 yr old son along. The cabana was nice and shady - had a great view of the swimming area. But the sides are open, and they are only a foot apart so there was no 'real' privacy (not even for a conversation.) Behind the cabanas is a (nice) common area with hammocks, etc. About 90 minutes after we arrived, another group came and some VERY loud people settled in that area, so not very peaceful after that. My son was excited to snorkel - so he went on his own first. It was a bit short - but he had a great time. My husband and I were scheduled to snorkel later -but my son had so much fun, I gave him my slot so he could go again. He sat through the safety briefing but then was turned away and told 'only once per person'. He tried to explain that he was using my time and that the cabana people had approved it, but the snorkel people just went on a rant about how the cabana people have no say over the snorkel people and it didn't matter what they said, so he came back having wasted 30 minutes plus.
The cabana staff was EXCELLENT. Attentive without being pushy. My husband had multiple drinks and enjoyed them all. I had several and asked for 1/2 the alcohol and they were perfect. My son even enjoyed virgin Pina Coladas and Strawberry Daiquiris! Food was really good too. Choice of BBQ chicken leg or fish or both. We all did both and really enjoyed it.
Water equipment is included, but limited in quantity, and first come first served. The water floats are large mats that everyone uses and stay in the water all the time. The undersides are full of algae. Paddle boards are fun. But there should be a separate area for that, as newbies can't steer and run into swimmers.
My only complaint (other than the snorkeling fiasco) is that the time on the island was so short. We wish we could have stayed another 2+ hours, just relaxing and swimming, etc.
When we come back to Nassau, we will defiantly go back to Pearl Island!

Amazing Ocean View/Private Cabana

Ocean View / Private Cabana.
This was our favorite thing to do in the whole trip to Bahamas. We had our own bustle Bringing drinks and food to our cabana, which means we didn’t have to be waiting in line for lunch. The place is very nice and we were able to pay 15$ per person to snorkel which it was fine with us. Food was good, drinks were amazing and they had different activities for you to do. The only negative side was that the time is kind of short so we really didn’t get to enjoy much of the cabana since we were also trying to do things and walk around the place. (That was on us I guess).

Beautiful place. Wonderful service! Wish we could have gone snorkeling but it was to rough. The getting on and off the ferry was a little dicey.
