What To Expect
Sandy Toes
The Sandy Toes Full Day Excursion is an awesome private island day experience that provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of the hotel and cruise crowds. This 6-hour excursion includes a scenic 30-minute boat ride to and from Rose Island and welcome drink upon arrival. Once at Sandy Toes, an array of activities are available to our guests including our guided snorkelling tour, private beach, hammock garden, and our very own Rose Island Swimming Pigs! We also include a delicious Bahamian buffet lunch, served on our southern pavilion overlooking picturesque Lower Harbour, and feature our very own Sandy Toes Gift Shop with one-of-a-kind souvenirs. River tube floats and kayaks are available for rent, and we also offer beachside massages treatments for an additional fee. Fresh water showers and air-conditioned bathrooms are also available on the island for the comfort of our guests! Our Beach Bar is a great social atmosphere where you can mingle with our friendly staff or meet fellow travelers! WiFi and DirecTV services are also available at the Beach Bar.

The island was beautiful and the snorkeling was very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The lunch was delicious and plentiful. The included drinks had lots of tasty options. The highlight was the swimming pigs which made the trip unique compared to similar excursions we had done elsewhere.

This was the absolute perfect day! Super friendly and well cared for pigs, with plenty of time to interact with them. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and amazing. Our first day was canceled by Sandy toes due to inclement weather and they were able to rebook us for the very next day while we were in person at the dock. Everything was smooth and would definitely go again!

My 24 year old daughter wanted to do this so badly. We had a great day. It was cool interacting with the pigs up close and seeing them swim in the ocean. Staff was amazing, snorkelling was fine (always nice to do when you're on the ocean). Food was really, really good. Drinks were excellent. the island and amenities/location were gorgeous.

This was our favorite experience during our trip. The drinks included and the quiet, clean spot reserved on the beach was worth the price on its own. The Pigs are adorable and so well trained, the staff was amazing also. It was a wonderful time

Amazing experience at Rose Island!!! Highly recommend for those who want a day trip and want to actually experience the pigs vs. the quick 30 minute photo session and go (Exuma Cay experience). Obviously, you see less "variety" vs. the all day excursions which include Nurse Sharks + Iguanas etc. but the boat ride is way more comfortable + you get real time to relax, enjoy a private beach and interact with the pigs. Absolutely zero regrets booking this over the Exuma Cay experience and got some amazing personal photos with the pigs! Pigs are well-trained, clean and extremely friendly (vs. the wild pigs on the Exuma Cay experience which can be more aggressive and less clean given they're fully wild pigs). Pigs seem to be well taken care of by the Sandy Toes team and are definitely well-fed. All in all a wonderful experience!

Very well organised day. Provided us with equipment to go snorkelling initially, emphasising necessary safety precautions whilst ensuring we did get the best of the experience. Managed to see a couple of turtles and appreciate the beauty of the coral reef.
Meeting the pigs was our favourite part (Ginger is an absolute beauty!). We really enjoyed Rose Island's calm and beauty, had a great meal and made the most of the rest of our time with the beach.

The kids had so much fun with the pigs and the snorkeling was amazing for our 12 and 8 yr old grandkids. They loved it! The boat ride was just the right length of time about 25 min. The staff is so friendly and enjoyable. The lunch was great and there was alot of food. It was worth every dollar to experience. Lots of pics and we will never forget it.

;It rained, so we couldn't bike, but Alfredo and Jeanie made the most of it by taking us around the island so the day wasn't a complete washout. Visited different cenotes , beaches. Tony's conch visit was surprisingly fun, and lunch was good. Very informative trip. Traveled with my wife and two teenagers. Next time back we will def book the CocoNutz cruisers just because of Alfredo!!

Excellent. Boat was no-frills, but it was only a 25 minute ride to the island. Once we got there, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Drinks were included and easy to get. The lunch was VERY good. Our 4 kids aren’t the easiest to please and they all went back for seconds. The beach was beautiful and the pigs were super fun. Really great way to spend the day.

While I admittedly really wanted the all day Exuma pig excursion, it was vetoed by everyone for the long (possibly rough water) boat ride, so this was my second choice.
Here's why this worked for my family- I have one who gets sea sick, so a 3 hour boat ride back from a day at the Exuma Islands was not an option. This was the perfect compromise- a 5 min taxi ride from Atlantis to meet on the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal at 9:30am. Boat left shortly before 10am (with 50 of your soon to be closest friends). Staff was beyond wonderful and probably made this tour a 5 star experience. They were funny, nice and just wanted you to have a great time. 10:30am arrival at Rose Island. Option to Snorkel was only given at 10:30am- so either you snorkel or walked 5 min to the other side of the island for sand and pigs. Most of our boat wanted to snorkel - so it took about 30 min to get everyone fitted w gear and into the water- 11am- 11:30- was snorkeling by the shore- pretty fish and a sea turtle were seen. 11:3-1pm- Island time - sand, beach chairs, hammocks (my son's favorite part- wish they had hammocks on the beach - but they were up top by the bar), great free drinks at the bar and of course the swimming pigs. Here's what's important to know- the pigs are well cared for- and that is awesome, BUT you are not going to get a chance to feed the pigs (you can swim next to them) and there are no baby or young pigs to hold. They have about 9 monster size pigs and 2 smaller pigs- and they rotate them every 30 minutes- the trainers call them into the water- they swim out to get their treat and you can race the pigs back to the shore. If you want a safe time, this is probably the best tour you can take. 1pm- 1:30pm- An awesome free buffet of BBQ chicken beef hot dogs (haha) and pasta salad for lunch. 1:30-3pm- more island beach swim w pigs time, or drink at the bar. If you have visions of holding a baby pig like many of the instagram photos or feeding them yourself, then this is not the tour to take. These pigs are very well loved. We loved the tour and are really happy we went on it. Ps. Shout out to Kody on the boat and Johnny by the snorkeling - they were both super cool.

A must-do excursion for anybody visiting the Bahamas! The boat ride was fun, staff were fun and kind, snorkeling a blast, island beautiful, swimming pigs were awesome, and food/drinks great! We had an amazing time. This excursion allows for the perfect amount of relaxation time on the gorgeous island with adorable pigs, and activities. We even saw a turtle when snorkeling. Definitely a 5-star experience!

I 100% recommend this excursion! It was my girlfriend and I and we loved it! The pigs were super friendly and well trained. The food and drinks were delicious. They beach was well kept! The staff was extremely nice and helpful! Great Excursion, so worth it! Our favorite pig was Moe, sweetest girl out there!

Pleasant , relaxing 30 min boat ride to Rose island, snorkeling optional, picturesque beach which was excellent for swimming. They had pig encounters every half hour where they brought out three pigs at a time that swam, allowed pictures and were very playful. Food was just ok, staff was great, very attentive. Would definitely recommend

Excellent experience! I did the longer Exhumas tour last year and I enjoyed this version better. The company was on time and we left at 10 AM sharp. The island was a dream. Blue waters, white sands, and unlimited drinks! The lunch buffet was great. The RR were decent. The pigs were awesome! They have great things to do on the island. Worth every penny

as always, the staff at Sandy Toes is welcoming and makes the adventure so great. Rose Island is amazing and seeing the fish and the pigs and the birds makes it all worthwhile. Also, the unlimited beverage package is well worth it. This is my 3rd time going, and I'll be sure to be back for a 4th!

A fun day on a private island! There was snorkeling tour, and swimming with the pigs from the local sanctuary. There was also a lunch buffet provided. Overall, worth the trip away from Nassau.

As soon as we got there our guide took us snorkelling. We felt totally safe and saw lots of beautiful fish, turtles and even a stingray. Had a wonderful lunch, great drinks, and so much fun with the friendly pigs!! Lots of time to take pictures with them. The staff was great , highly recommended this tour

The tour was a lot of fun. We went snorkeling with Cody and we saw turtles and other wildlife. The pigs were cool. Cody was very helpful and went above and beyond to make the experience extra special!!!

Great experience for a family of four with 2 teenage daughters. Everything is well organized and you have plenty of time to do all the activities offered. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. The snorkeling was ok, was not great as I anticipated. Needless to say, pretty much everything in Bahamas is expensive, so is the tour.

The beach is really nice the pigs were very fun to be around and the staff was really enjoying and the food was tasty but the one. Employe said only on chicken leg or thigh but at the end all the employees had as much as they wanted so I paid two hundred and twenty four dollars for one chicken leg but someone who is getting paid Is having as much as they wanted plus i don't drink any alcohol but if i wanted a smoothie ihad to pay thirty dollars more maybe you should change those policies and make everyone happy

Beautiful Island!! It was a perfect day and everyone was so helpful. You don’t really swim with the pigs, there are about 4 that come out every 30 minutes-the handlers feed them and you can take pictures. The pigs are very friendly and appear to be very well taken care of. The lunch was good and the all you can drink non premium beverages was perfect.
The snorkeling opportunity when you first arrive is rushed and all you smell is the fuel from the boat. I would recommend avoiding it as you have the choice and just head to the beach. The group is small so you feel like it’s your own private beach.
